Cassidy Turner and Zach Mikolajczyk’s story began in the hallways of McCord Middle School back in 2008—two kids who couldn’t have guessed that destiny had already started its quiet work. Life carried them on their separate paths, but fate had a funny way of circling back.

In 2014, they found each other again at the University of Toledo. This time, they became fast friends and friendship turned into something more, and by March of 2018, they made it official.

They graduated together, built a life in the Toledo area, and planted roots just outside the city in Monclova. That home was soon filled with laughter, adventure, and the pitter-patter of paws—thanks to two lovable golden retrievers, Honey and Maple.

On Halloween in 2023, in the warmth of their own home, Zach proposed and the next chapter of their love story began.

Together, Cassidy and Zach have explored new places and chased every kind of adventure they could find. But their favorite part of the journey? Simply being together. At the end of every day, in every season of life, they are—and always have been—best friends.

Their love story is proof that sometimes life brings people back exactly when the timing is right. And now, as they step into forever hand in hand, they do so with hearts full of memories, hope, and the kind of love that was years in the making.
